Your exercises and recovery routines

Pick the area that bothers you and where you are in your recovery. We’ll show you the routines Dr. Lázaro recommends — and you can save them on your phone.

Find your routine

1. Which area do you want to work on?
2. Where are you in your recovery?

10 routines

Before you start

  • Warm up for 5–10 minutes (walking or a stationary bike) before stretching.
  • It’s normal to feel your muscles working, but you should not feel sharp pain. If pain increases, stop and ease off.
  • Be consistent: a little every day beats a lot once in a while.
  • If you had surgery, follow Dr. Lázaro’s and your therapist’s specific instructions first.

Call the office if you notice

  • Pain that gets worse or keeps you up at night
  • New swelling, redness or warmth
  • Fever or drainage from the incision
  • Numbness or tingling that doesn’t go away
